Diane downs Murder case : Diane Downs : ABC is announcing that the Friday edition of the "20/20" newsmagazine features an interview with Rebecca Babcock, the daughter of Diane Downs, the former Oregonian convicted of shooting her own children -- killing one, and seriously injuring the other two -- in an infamous 1983 case.
When Downs was brought to trial, in 1984, she was pregnant with another child, and gave birth to a baby girl 10 days before her sentencing.
The girl, Rebecca Babcock, was adopted. She found out at age 16, according to ABC, that Downs was her birth mother.

According to ABC, Elizabeth Vargas' "20/20" report will feature Babcock talking about "being the seed of a monster and how that legacy has shaped her life." "20/20" airs at 10 p.m. Friday, on KATU (2).
